Sophie Neville began working on films as a girl, becoming well known for playing ‘Titty’ in ‘Swallows and Amazons’ (1974), the classic movie streaming on Amazon Prime.

She has begun to win awards for her screenwriting, winning the Best Screenplay at the Berlin International Film Festival and Best Feature Script in Prague, London and Paris. She has won a total of 25 writing awards this year having just won an award at the Swedish International Film Festival.

Celebrations for the 50th Anniversary of Swallows and Amazons were profiled on BBC Breakfast TV, BBC News, NW News, Daily Mail, Daily Express, Yachts and Yachting – the story filled the media while Sophie was hailed as an icon by OK! magazine.

After Sophie’s ebook on ‘The Secrets of Filming Swallows & Amazons’ became an Amazon bestseller, she was commissioned to write ‘The Making of Swallows and Amazons’, which The Lutterworth Press has now launched as an audiobook.

In 2014, Sophie became president of The Arthur Ransome Society and began giving talks at yacht clubs, cinemas and literary festivals.
