Club Dress Code

CLUB DRESS CODE

We kindly ask members and guests that visit the Club to abide by the following standards of attire.
Please note that outdoor clothing, large cases and bags are to be left in the various cloakrooms around the Club. However, small rucksacks/laptop cases and electronic devices may be carried around; we understand that some members are required to keep these with them at all times.

Smoking Room
Business/smart attire must be worn. A tie is not obligatory.

Coffee Room
Jacket (or ladies equivalent) must be worn. A tie is not obligatory.

Ribbon Bar & Terrace
Smart casual, but no ripped denim, shorts, leggings, T-shirts, sports clothing or exercise trainers.

Pall Mall Room | Breakfast
Smart casual, but no ripped denim, shorts, leggings, T-shirts (for men), sports clothing or exercise trainers.

Public Rooms 
Including the Library and Ian Jacob Library

DRESS CODE – SUMMER

Given the warmer temperatures, we have amended our dress code from 25th July 2022 until further notice as per the below. 

Gentlemen
Gentlemen may wear Planters’ Order (collared shirt and trousers secured with a belt). Jackets are not required in the Smoking Room or in The Coffee Room. Shorts may not be worn in any of the Public Rooms, Bars or Restaurants. The only exception is when a member/guest is checking in/out and heading to their bedroom immediately.

Women
Open-toed shoes/sandals are allowed.
Shoulders do not need to be covered.
