Kolkata Gala Dinner

Kolkata Gala Dinner
Three-Course Dinner in The Coffee Room | Saturday 9th October 18.30 | £65.00 per person

Founded as a trading post by the East India Company, Kolkata (or Calcutta as it was then called) was the beating heart of Britain’s nearly 300-year presence in India. It was the city of palaces, replete with magnificent Victorian architecture and marble monuments to the Crown. Even today, Kolkata’s rich history and legacy are deeply intertwined with that of England’s. On Saturday 9th October Kontentigo’s ‘Royal Bengal Supper Club’ celebrates the vibrancy of the land of Tagore and Mother Teresa – and offers Rag members the opportunity to discover Kolkata’s magnificent cultural mosaic and culinary canvas.

The evening will celebrate the City of Joy’s unique culture and cuisine with rhythmic dance performances and readings that showcase the very best this enchanting region has to offer. Members will be transported to this vibrant destination through their senses, with an exquisite Bengali feast specially prepared by Chef Pratibha Khaitan.

Members and guests are invited to join us for a welcome reception in The Smoking Room followed by a three-course dinner in The Coffee Room. Tickets are now available for members and guests to book!
