As is tradition, we commemorate the famous Battle of Trafalgar here at the Army and Navy Club by hosting a dinner in our Pall Mall Room. This year, we will welcome Professor Peter Roberts as our Guest of Honour. Members of the Rag are invited to join us for a welcome drinks reception in The Marlborough Suite followed by a three-course dinner surrounded by Ballin’s Battle of Trafalgar Painting series.

Professor Peter Roberts is an author, researcher, occasional podcaster and veteran. His latest book, The Western Way of War, was released in summer 2024, which followed the 2023 release of War’s Changed Landscape? He has hosted various podcasts for RUSI, The Wavell Room, and AureliusThinking for nearly 5 years and now has more than 1 million downloads across various shows. Peter spent nearly 10 years at the Think-Tank RUSI, most of that time as the Director of Military Sciences, leading debate on national security in the UK and abroad. A veteran of 20+ years service in the Royal Navy, Peter served in most types of warship from patrol vessels to aircraft carriers, and with various militaries around the world.
