Cigars on the Terrace

Thursday 11th April 2024

On Thursday 11th April, The Rag hosted a Cigar Tasting on the Ribbon Bar Terrace, which brought a touch of Cuban heritage to London with a selection of Partagas Maduro No.2 cigars. The Partagas factory, established in 1845 by Don Jaime Partagas, has a long history of producing some of the world’s most distinctive cigars.

Attendees enjoyed the instantly recognizable rich, earthy flavors of the Partagas Linea Maduro, which has matured over the past nine years. The term “Maduro” indicates the use of wrappers harvested from the top leaves of the shade-grown tobacco plant, resulting in a deep, dark, and oily texture that enhances the cigar’s robust “top-taste.”

To complement the cigars, guests were treated to expertly paired cocktails, marking the arrival of summer—a time when cigar enthusiasts can truly embrace their passion outdoors. It was a delightful evening of fine cigars, smooth drinks, and great company, setting the perfect tone for the warm months ahead.
