We are home to a global network of serving officers and young professionals, connecting likeminded people through membership, activities, events and away days. For almost two centuries, the Rag has provided exceptional member benefits to young people, with more now than ever before. U35 events include the annual Billy Duff Supper Club to uncover the story of the Club’s nickname, Summer Balls and Mess Dinners hosted by the Inter-Club Group and regular outings to the West London Shooting School to enjoy the great outdoors in good company.
BILLY DUFF SUPPER CLUB
Who is Billy Duff? Why is there a ragamuffin on the Club logo? Indeed, why is the Club nicknamed the “Rag”? Each year in late October, we journey back in time to uncover the answers to these questions through this interactive dining experience. Billy Duff’s Supper Club is a chance for U35 members to be part of reviving the traditions started by Billy and his chums in the 1800s. We invite you to gather with fellow members and guests to indulge in delicious food and wine, with a few surprises along the way, as we raise a glass to one of the liveliest characters in the Club’s long history.
INTER-CLUB GROUP
The Younger Members’ Inter-Club Group was founded in 2005 to ensure that the younger members of London’s ‘Clubland’ get the most out of being the latest generation to join this rich and diverse tradition. Through their Rag membership, our Under 35 members can join the Inter-Club Group. Sign up online for the latest news and to gain access to networking events, club crawls, parties, mess dinners and more.
WEST LONDON SHOOTING SCHOOL
We host regular U35 shoot days at the West London Shooting School in Northolt. Whether you are interested in learning how to shoot, or are an experienced shooter looking to practice, this is the perfect away day for you. We begin with a hearty ploughman’s lunch before heading outdoors for the safety briefing and shooting competition, before enjoying afternoon tea and then heading back to the Rag.
WINE DOWN FRIDAYS
Unwind after a long week at work at regular U35s Wine Down Fridays at The Ribbon Bar. Hosted by our younger member reps, these casual gatherings are the perfect way to meet likeminded people, as well as to invite friends to join you on the terrace for a glass or two to toast the end of the week.
