Nick and Giles English established Bremont in 2002 to address this misconception, The brothers are now highly-acclaimed watchmakers with these made wholly in England. Many of their signature pieces contain elements to remind all comers of this, such as a ring of aluminium from last Concorde commemorating UK supersonic aviation. Bremont also celebrates the Armed Services, providing a range of pieces specially designed to cope with the extremes of life in the Army, Navy, and Royal Air Force, and offering concession by way of a 15% military subsidy..

The beginnings of the Bremont story include the tragic death of the brothers’ father, Euan, in a flying accident in 1995. Nick was in the plane and miraculously survived while Giles watched the crash unfold from the ground. In the aftermath – which included months in hospital for Nick – the pair committed to following their dream which today is a reality. March 2025 will be 30 years since this moment. So an evening both of commemoration and celebration.
