Tim Bouverie is an award-winning historian, a former Alistair Horne Fellow at St Antony’s College, Oxford and former Channel 4 political correspondent. His book, “Allies at War: The Rivals Who Defeated Hitler”, outlines how countries came together during the Second World War in a united effort to defeat tyranny.
Bouverie’s “Allies” was the winner of the 2026 Duff Cooper Prize and follow up to the equally-acclaimed “Appeasing Hitler: Chamberlain, Churchill and the Road to War”, shortlisted for the Orwell Prize. Join the author at the first Fireside Chat of the autumn to consider a world very different to the present day and view the world today in the context of the past.
