Classical Rag Concert – Easter Special
Sunday 5th April at 11:30 | Marlborough Suite | £25.00
We are excited to continue our classical concert series with a special Easter Sunday recital in the Marlborough Suite. Scheduled just before Sunday Roast, this intimate performance invites you to enjoy live music in a warm, relaxed atmosphere – an ideal way to begin your Easter celebrations with family.
Our featured performer is Yoel Rubin, a 22 year old cellist born in Tel Aviv and currently a second-year undergraduate at the Royal College of Music, studying with Professor Alexander Chaushian and Professor Sarah McMahon (baroque cello). He is a recipient of the Victor and Lillian Hochhauser Scholarship and has received support from both the Kathleen Trust and the Albert Cooper Charitable Trust.
Yoel has performed widely as both a soloist and orchestral musician, with appearances at venues including St Pancras Church and the Cobbe Collection, and with ensembles such as the St James Chamber Orchestra and Firebird Orchestra. From 2022 to 2024, he was a member of the Israel Chamber Orchestra, becoming the youngest musician to be offered a place in the ensemble, and touring internationally with them.
Our upcoming Rag Concert promises a relaxed morning of beautiful live music, showcasing the rich and expressive sound of the cello – a lovely addition to your Easter Sunday celebration.
