Having been born and raised in Jamaica, Rose Hudson came to Britain, was trained as a priest and was ordained. In 2007, after 16 years as a parish priest in Hackney, she was appointed a Chaplain to Her Majesty the Queen and in 2010, she became the first female Chaplain to the Speaker of the House of Commons. She is the Bishop of Dover, and her job includes running the Diocese of Canterbury.
