Cigars on the Terrace

Cigars on the Terrace

In November, we commemorated the 150th birthday of the iconic Winston Churchill, paying tribute to a remarkable man whose legacy lives on. Had he been alive, Churchill would likely have celebrated this milestone with a fine cigar and a drink in hand. To honour this, a select group of members joined us for a special occasion, enjoying a Romeo y Julieta Churchill Tubos.

This cigar, which Churchill famously lent his name to 75 years ago, is a perfect fit for the occasion. The Tubos, a Julieta No. 2 vitola, features a 47-ring gauge and spans seven inches, offering richly developing flavours that reflect the statesmanlike character associated with Churchill himself.

Held on the Ribbon Bar terrace, this event was a fitting tribute to the great man. Despite the chilly winter evening on November 27th, the warmth of appreciation for Churchill kept everyone comfortable as we shared in the celebration of his enduring influence. The evening was made all the more special with the help of Hunters & Frankau, marking a wonderful conclusion to a memorable year of cigars.
