Bonny Lunch with Saul David

BONNY LUNCH WITH DR SAUL DAVID
Wednesday 18th September at 12.30 | £70*
*Includes one glass Prosecco and half bottle Wine

Our next Bonny Lunch is on Wednesday 18th September at 12:30 for 13:00. Our speaker is the celebrated military historian, Saul David. Saul will, fittingly for the date, be speaking to us on the Arnhem Campaign 17 to 26 September 1944. To coincide with the 80th anniversary of D-Day and Arnhem, Saul has very recently published “Sky Warriors: British Airborne Forces in the Second World War”.

A recent Sunday Times review states: “Sky Warriors is an accomplished act of storytelling; authoritative, far-reaching and deeply moving. Building the narrative from the ground-up, Saul David draws on multiple archives, published memoirs, unpublished diaries and letters, and interviews with participants.
The end result is a dramatic narrative of the airborne forces’ recruitment, training and wartime exploits.” He is bringing a few books with him and will be happy to do a signing session after lunch.
