New Executive Chef – Stuart Hart

We are delighted to welcome Stuart Hart as our new Executive Chef in place of Tibor Sarvari, who is leaving the Club for a new challenge after seven years in post. Stuart comes to us from the Garrick Club where he was Sous Chef. During August, the Dining Room will close for a week or so for refurbishment, relaunching in September with a smart, refreshed look and Stuart’s new menus.

Stuart writes: ‘My career in the Kitchen, which has spanned over 30 years has taken me into a world of excitement, dedication and satisfaction in an industry that is always evolving. The vast majority of my career has been spent in private members clubs, with the Garrick Club and Royal Automobile Club being very prominent in my development and experience, I very much enjoy the closeness and familiarity that can be formed between Members and Staff, and the buzz that is created when the Members are happy and feel at home in their club.

Developing and tutoring the next generation of Chefs is also important to me, and as I look back on my own experiences and grounding as a junior chef with the support of various Head Chefs as the base for me to achieve and progress throughout my career.

I am very proud and honoured to be given this fantastic opportunity at The Rag, and very much look forward to achieving my aim with my team of fulfilling and surpassing your expectations, on all of your dining experiences, I look forward to meeting you all.’
