The Household Division Music Festival will feature 16 concerts in 6 days, all in the glorious setting of the spiritual home of the Household Division, the Guards’ Chapel .

TUESDAY 26 JUNE
1.10pm – 3pm – Guards Big Band
“A Salute to Glenn Miller” A feast of Big Band music
3.30pm – 5pm – The Dixie Swingers
Classic Dixieland & Trad Jazz favourites; to include High Society, Midnight in Moscow, Chicago & Clarinet Marmalade
6pm – The Band of the Grenadier Guards
“Voyages of Discovery” – Symphonic Works for Band, to include Philip Sparke, Nigel Clarke & Hayato Hirose

WEDNESDAY 27 JUNE
1.10pm – 2pm – Guards Wind Ensemble
French Romantic Wind Music; Gounod – Petite Symphonie & Enescu – Dixtuor
3.30pm – 5pm – Scots Guards Jazz Ensemble
Favourites including A Foggy Day, Bewitched, Sweet Georgia Brown & Round Midnight
6pm – The Countess of Wessex’s String Orchestra
Music for Flutes and Strings, to include Cecil Armstrong Gibbs – Suite in A for Flutes and Strings, Bach – Brandenburg Concerto No 4 & Charles Ives – The Unanswered Question

THURSDAY 28 JUNE
1.10pm – 2pm – Scots Guards Chamber Ensemble
Walton “Façade”
3.30pm – 5pm – Lance Corporal Ben Beavis and friends
“The Trumpet Years”, featuring music in the style of Louis Armstrong & Lee Morgan to Derek Watkins & Wayne Bergeron
6pm – Guards Brass
“Galleries”, music by Mussorgsky & John Ireland

FRIDAY 29 JUNE
1.10pm – 2pm – Guards French Horns
“French Horns at the Movies”, to include Gladiator, Star Wars, Braveheart & Independence Day
3.30pm – 5pm – The Coldstream Guards Jazz Orchestra
The Music of Ted Heath, to include Shall we Dance, Fly me to the Moon, Begin the Beguine, Have you met Miss Jones & other favourites
6pm – The Band of the Scots Guards
Music from the Stage, favourites from a century of the World of Musical Theatre with guests from the West End

SATURDAY 30 JUNE
3.30pm – 5pm – Household Division Saxophone Quartet
“Bach to Beatles”, to include Florio, Bach, Lennon, Lago & Gregory, Jazz Pianist LCpl Tom Greenhalf, Standards & Ballads from the American Songbook
6pm – The Band of the Coldstream Guards
A concert in celebration of Armed Forces Day
Themes from The Greatest War Films, to include Walton’s Spitfire Prelude & Fugue, Lawrence of Arabia,  Bridge over the River Kwai & Hymn to the Fallen

SUNDAY 1 JULY
5pm – Guards on Parade – Reunited One More Time
Former Musicians of the Household Division Bands in Concert
Free admission to all concerts for the Music Festival. For evening performances, doors usually open an hour before the performance.
